    Is WieHack2.0 an online or offline hackathon?

    It is completely an Online hackathon and will be hosted at https://wiehack.bvpieeend.com/

    Do I need to pay any amount to register for WieHack2.0 ?

    No, you need not to pay any amount to register yourself for WIEHACK 2.0. It is 36 hour Virtual Hackathon open to all female participants.

    How many members are allowed to take part as a team in WieHack2.0 ?

    While the team size can range from 2 to 4 members and individual participation aka Lone Wolves are welcomed too.

    What if I had never been to a hackathon before?

    We'll be so glad that WieHack2.0 will be your first ever! It’s helpful to have some programming or technical experience, but it’s not a requirement. We’ll have presentations from speakers and online sessions by judges to help you with your projects.

    Do I need to have any specific qualifications to be a participant for WieHack2.0 ?

    If you love to code and are an Undergraduate female(like Bsc, B.tech), you are more than recepted to participate in the WieHack2.0 .

    What are the tracks for this year?

    They are: AR/VR, Blockchain, Women Security, Fintech, Healthcare, AI and Smart Cities.

    How do I submit my stuff for the Hackathon?

    Various rounds of submission will be presented(Template of each will be provided). If you reach the final round of submission, you are required to make a video demonstration of the project along with a short pitch of the same.

    Do we need to have the entire idea working?

    The entire idea need to be fully or partially implemented based on the discretion of judges after reviewing the idea and implementation.

    How is the environment? Will your environment support any language? Will you provide any IDE and DB for us to work on ideas?

    You have to develop the entire software application on your local system and submit it on the website in doc file format along with the instructions to run the application and source code along with screenshots as needed(No debugging or processing will be available on our webserver).

    Since there is no specific technology mentioned, is there any restriction on using number of pre-built libraries?

    There is no restriction to use any language, technology stack, or libraries. You can use any of them to create the web/mobile application.

    Do I need to give a demo for the product that I have built?

    If you want, you can submit a small presentation or video that shows the demo of your submission. In case you are one of the winners, you might be invited to demo your application at a physical event, details of which will be shared with an advance notice.

    Will we be given any mentors during the course of the hackathon?

    No, there is no mentorship from the organizer's side related to the hackathon, although we will be having an online session by the judges and speakers during the course of WieHack2.0.

    Can I start working on my hack before the event?

    No, in the interest of fairness, students should not be working on their projects before WieHack2.0 begins and we will not allow participants to work on pre-existing projects. However, you can familiarize yourself with all the tools and technologies you intend to use beforehand!
